Our Story
For over a decade, I have been at the forefront of digital health and wellness, guiding schools in navigating the challenges of an always-connected world. My work is built on years of research, hands-on experience, and a deep commitment to helping educators and students develop a balanced, thoughtful approach to technology.

My journey began in the classroom, designing and teaching digital literacy courses that equipped students with essential skills—how to manage screen time, communicate effectively, and leverage technology for meaningful connections. I believed then, as I do now, that technology should be a tool for empowerment, not a source of distraction or harm.

But the landscape has changed. In Teaching Digital Kindness, I explore two pivotal moments that reshaped our digital habits—the 2016 U.S. presidential election and the COVID-19 pandemic. Both events pushed us further into our screens, shifting online spaces from hubs of connection to arenas of division. Sharing and networking gave way to outrage and isolation. The effects of endless scrolling and digital fatigue became impossible to ignore, impacting students and educators alike.

I don’t believe in rejecting technology—I believe in reshaping our relationship with it. Schools need practical strategies to foster digital well-being, ensuring that students and staff engage with technology in ways that support learning, mental health, and community building. Through my consulting services, workshops, and ongoing research, I help K-12 schools create healthier, more intentional digital cultures.

The time to act is now. Let’s start the conversation and build a better digital future together.
